Ancient Indian Architecture

India is the land for diversified cultures and architectures. There are so many historic buildings across the country which have their own history. Tourists from various countries visit these places in order to witness these beautiful architectures which will always teach people about how great India is. There are some finest monuments which were built by the Mughals which are known for their impressive architecture and also contributes to the rich heritage of India.

Nalanda, known by almost everyone is almost in ruins now. It was built in 7th century. This ancient architecture has been attracting a lot more scholars, students and tourists from various parts of the world. It has an area of almost 12 hectares and it once had meditation halls, classrooms and temples inside it. A great monument indeed.

Hampi in Karnataka is one of the most beautiful locations in country. Earlier it was one of the largest cities in the world. Presently it is considered to be UNESCO World Heritage Site. Earlier it was the capital to the Vijaynagara Empire. Vittala Temple is known for its best architecture design which features an iconic stone chariot, musical pillars and best sculpture work.

Konark Sun Temple in Orissa has been always termed as one of the seven wonders of India. It was constructed in 1255 C.E and this temple is constructed in the form of a chariot with twelve stone wheels pulled by seven horses which is like the one used by Sun god.

Qutub Minar is undoubtedly one of the most famous monuments in the country. It was built in the early 16th century by the Muslim predecessors of Mughals. This is one of those iconic monuments which no one should miss in their lifetime.

Reading about these places and monuments will definitely make you culturally curious to know more about them, their history and witness them in real. These buildings are the finest examples of the best Indian architectures which our country should be definitely proud of.
